No special software is needed to take these lessons.
Students who understand about file formats and folder structure can take these lessons using a word processor,
but beginning students are encouraged to use a simple editing program like Windows™ Notepad.
Some students may already have home page building software.
Such software is much more powerful than a simple text editor, and is easy to use.
Home page building software is convenient because it does many things for you automatically.
But even if you have such a program, you are still strongly encouraged to take these lessons using a text editor before using your other software.
Taking these lessons will give you a basic understanding of just what home page building software does for you.
This will help you when you want to do some fine-tuning, and when you are troubleshooting.
Following the instructions in these lessons, anyone can create a simple home page in less than an hour.
However, these lessons are not meant to be a comprehensive guide to home page building.
They are merely meant to guide beginners through the basics.
If you want to create more than just simple pages, we recommend that you go to your local bookshop and purchase a one of the many good books about home page building.
The lessons herein are available in both Japanese and in English.
An attempt was made to keep the English structure and vocabulary on a level understandable to high school students.
You may use the Japanese or English lessons, but you are encouraged to try the English lessons as a way to practice your English as you learn how to create home pages.

どうしたら見栄えの良いホームページができるのか、また、トラブルにどのように対処できるのかも教えてくれるからです。
このレッスンに従って学んでいくならば、だれでも１時間以内で簡単な日本語のホームページを作成することができます。
しかし、それはホームページの完全作成マニュアルではありません。あくまでも初心者へ基本中の基本をガイドするものです。
もし、もっと高度なホームページ作成の知識が必要と考えるなら、近くの本屋さんに足を運び、たくさんのホームページ作成マニュアルの中から、
あなたに適するものを手に入れるとよいでしょう。
ここに紹介するレッスンは日本語と英語の両方で学べます。英語の表現は高校生でもわかるように語彙や文型をやさしくしております。
日本語、英語、どちらでもかまいませんが、英語の力を伸ばすという意味では、英語で学んでいかれるとよいと思います。
