We’re expecting our graduates to become leaders throughout the world!

 A university is an institution of higher learning with the mission to train the specialists that a country and community needs. I believe it’s our university’s mission to support your independent learning in the various departments, while helping you acquire the high-level specialized knowledge and other skills required by society.
　
 At Okinawa International University, we’ve created domestic and overseas exchange programs, and provide a broad range of scholarships and financial assistance, as part of our thorough effort to provide a safe learning environment that allows students to acquire a comprehensive liberal education and high-level knowledge. From 2017, we started providing special support for students coming from remote islands. In addition, we’ve put a lot of effort into career support, so we now have over 58,000 graduates working in various fields in Japan and throughout the world. We recently constructed a beautiful new student center, which will open in 2021. I’m sure this facility will make campus life even more pleasant and satisfying.

 We hope all incoming students will do their best in OKIU’s pleasant learning environment, so they become leaders in local communities throughout the world!
